Mammoth Creek

NHI represents California Trout in a case to restore and maintain the flows in Mammoth Creek, tributary to Hot Creek in the upper Owens Basin, as necessary to restore and protect one of California’s most outstanding wild trout fisheries. The case seeks a decision, after an inconclusive series of administrative proceedings before the State Water Resources Control Board since the 1970s, to establish a minimum flow release schedule for this purpose.
